Scape Mile End is a private student residence which was completed in June 2012 under the 'Scape Student Living' brand, which seeks to provide affordable and aspirational hotel style student accommodation in private purpose-built, high specification buildings. Scape have redefined student accommodation for the next generation as students become consumers in their own right. No longer is student accommodation just a room, it is a lifestyle and an experience.
Scape Mile End houses 588 self-contained high specification studios, as well as 20,000 square feet of teaching facilities. The property has two on site restaurants, common areas with a games room, TV room and quiet study areas. In addition to this, students have their own communal kitchen, cinema room and private gym all located within the building. Student experiences are enhanced through a set of brand ambassadors who run regular events for the Scape tenants from karaoke nights, to gallery tours and shopping trips.
Technology is integral to Scape Mile End, the building has high speed WiFi access throughout, as well as IP Television access in each room. Students have the opportunity to enhance their stay by taking up Scape’s concierge level services including room cleaning, dry cleaning, bedding and cutlery pack, and turbo charging the speed of your broadband.
Scape Mile End is located directly opposite Queen Mary University of London in Mile End (“QMUL”). QMUL is a Russell Group University and one of London's leading universities with approximately 25,000 students. Of these students, c. 5000 are first year students and c.11,000 are international students, but the university only has c.2,200 of its own beds. The building is also a two minute walk to Mile End tube station which is within 30 minutes of c.90% of London’s HEIs.
