The Amber Valley PFI project comprises a concession with Amber Valley Borough Council to design, construct, finance and operate three leisure facilities, being mixed wet and dry leisure facilities, including gymnasiums. The facilities, Alfreton Leisure Centre, Ripley Leisure Centre and William Gregg VC Leisure Centre, have been fully operational since October 2009.
The Braintree PFI project comprises a concession with the Mid Essex Primary Trust to design, construct, finance and maintain the new Braintree Community Hospital. The facility was completed in January 2010 and the concession ends in 2040.
Healthsource Bromley is a PFI project comprising a concession with South London Healthcare NHS Trust (originally Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust, but from April 2009 this was merged with two other NHS Trusts to form South London Healthcare NHS Trust). The project involves the provision, replacement and maintenance of medical equipment in the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley.
The Caring 4 Croydon PFI project comprises a concession with Eldon Housing Association to design, construct, finance and maintain four social care centres providing a total of 150 residential and nursing places, 40 extra care flats and 128 day care places. The final home was completed in January 2010 and the concession ends in July 2038.
Highland Schools is a PFI project involving the provision and on-going maintenance of four new build schools in the Highland Region of Scotland, two secondary schools (Ardnamurchan and Glen Urquhart) and two primary schools (Spean Bridge and Tomatin). The 25 year concession is with the Highland Council, and all schools are operational. The development at Ardnamurchan includes the provision of a 14 bed hostel to accommodate pupils who reside long distances from the school and are unable to travel on a daily basis.
Hull LIFT is a PFI project to replace ageing GP surgeries in Hull with new health centres. There have been nine tranches of schemes to date, of which eight are operational and one is in construction. The concession is with Hull Primary Care Trusts.
The Kirklees Special Schools PFI project portfolio comprises the design, construction and operation of three special needs schools in the Borough of Kirklees; Castle Hill School (pupils with severe or profound learning difficulties), Fairfield School (pupils with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties), and Ravenshall School (day special school which caters for pupils with moderate learning difficulties combined with other special educational needs such as behavioural difficulties or autistic spectrum disorders). The concession is with Kirklees County Council lasts until 2031.
Lanchaster Road is a PFI project to design, construct and maintain a new 72 bed mental health facility at the Lanchaster Road Children’s Primary Healthcare Unit in Durham for the Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust. The facility was completed in October 2009 and the concession ends in 2038.
Leeds Independent Living is a PFI housing project for the construction, maintenance and management of new residential accommodation for adults with mental health and learning difficulties on 40 separate sites throughout Leeds, as well as one further site providing respite and day care facilities for children. The Project is located throughout Leeds. The project has been operational since June 2011, when practical completion occurred, and the concession will last for 25 years from this date.
North Yorkshire Schools is a PFI project with North Yorkshire County to design, build and operate four schools: Brotherton and Byram Community Primary School; Barlby Community Primary School; Kirkby Hill Primary School; and Ripon Cathedral Church of England Primary School. The last of the schools was completed in 2003.
Nottingham Police PFI is an operational PFI project for the provision and on-going maintenance of office accommodation and a forensic garage for the Nottingham Police Authority for a 25 year concession period.
Rotherham Leisure is a PFI project with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to design, construct, finance and maintain four leisure facilities, being Aston-Cum-Aughton Leisure Centre, Maltby Service Centre, Rotherham Leisure Centre and Wath Upon Dearne Leisure Centre, with the Maltby facility also including a joint service centre with a GP surgery. The facilities have been fully operational since February 2010, and have a concession that lasts until 2041.
Runwell Community Hospital is a PFI concession to design, construct, finance and maintain a new 96 bed forensic and low security mental health facility at the Runwell Community Hospital for the South Essex Partnership NHS Trust. The hospital was completed in August 2009 and the concession ends in 2037.
Slough Schools is a PFI concession with Slough Borough Council for the design, construction, funding, and operation of three schools in the Borough of Slough; one primary school (Pennwood Primary School), one secondary school (Beechwood School) and a special needs school (Arbour Vale Special School). All schools are operational with practical completions being achieved in February 2007 for the Pennwood School and in September 2007 for the Arbour Vale and Beechwood schools. The concession ends in 2035.
Stanley Centre is a PFI concession to design, construct, finance and maintain a new children’s primary health care unit at the Stanley Primary Care Centre for the County Durham Primary Care Trust. The facility was completed in October 2009 and the concession ends in 2038.
Wolverhampton Leisure is a PFI concession with Wolverhampton City Council to design, construct, finance and maintain Bowman’s Harbour Leisure Centre. The facility has been fully operational since December 2006, has a concession that lasts until November 2036.
Young Herts Accommodation is a PFI concession with Hertfordshire County Council to design, construct, finance and maintain a children’s residential scheme comprising five children’s homes, two adolescent resource centres and the refurbishment of eight family support centres. The project was completed in October 2009 and the concession ends in March 2033.
